Toffee Caramel Squares

Ingredients 

• 125g butter 

• ½ cup sugar 

• 1 cup flour 

• 1 teaspoon baking powder 

• 1 teaspoon mixed spice 

 Method 

Cream butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients and press into tin. Bake ½ hour. 

 Topping 

• 8 tablespoons icing sugar 

• 60g butter 

• 1 tablespoon golden syrup 

 Bring topping ingredients to boil and pour over slice while hot
